The YDLDS 3000 Large Animal Anaesthesia System was specifically designed keeping resistance in mind. This has been accomplished with the help of leading anaesthesiologists in the US.
The absorber canister is designed to allow the expired gas to flow evenly and unobstructed through the canister. Because of the 2taper throughout the circuit, resistance is far less than other manufacturers machines in the veterinary market.
The directional valves, unlike traditional valves, are stacked .The Stack-Valve design reduces resistance by eliminating changes in directional flow and reduces the distance air must travel. Each valve has its own valve leaflet with a cage that allows the disk to lift without becoming jammed.
The flush valve activates oxygen flow and fresh gases to enter through two separate ports at the inspiratory opening, eliminating backpressure on the vaporizer. The close proximity of the fresh gas and flush oxygen flow to the inspiratory opening, allows fresh gas to reach the patient quicker in all situations.
The unit is designed to be mounted on a roll-around cart or to be table mounted. It may also be carried or back packed to remote sites. The dimensions are 22 W x 12 D x 15 H.Because of its compact size, yet large capacity, the machine is much more manoeuvrable than other units on the market today. If a cart is needed to mount the unit, the Ventilator/Anaesthesia Machine Cart is recommended.
With the Foal Circuit Set Option, the unit may be effectively used on foals, calves, small ruminants, and assorted other species, too large in size for conventional small animal anaesthetic machine.
